The Aims of Depressed Anonymous

  • To let the depressed person know that she or he is not alone in his or her struggle with depression. We also help others learn to do pleasant activities again.
  • To provide a group where members can help one another and learn new skills in taking mastery over their lives and begin to live again with hope and joy.
  • To help each member feel better about themselves — today. One day at a time!
  • To educate the depressed person and his or her family about the nature and causes of depression and remove the SHAME of their feeling depressed. It’s OK to admit that we are feeling overwhelmed./li>

  1. For, he life of me I can not where to easily order the starter kit or download it. I have 12 stepped over 25 years. But I find this site hard to simply order a starter kit short of having to write the home office. Please can you help me now to order the kit. How much does it cost? How long will it take to receive it? What all is included in it?

    1. Hi Debra
There is no Starter Kit for sale. Everything that you need is listed on the Website Menu screen. You will find a File telling someone how to Start a group. I recommend that you download that file and print it out on your computer at home. Also, you can find other files at this Menu site that duplicates info that was contained in the Starter Kit. I hope this helps. Thanks for your comment.

      1. Hi Debra
Sounds like you have a solution to lack the starter Kit. Hope you and the new group gets off the a great start. All we need for a group is two persons. Take care and keep in touch, please.

    1. Hi Rhani
Sorry to say–there are none as far as we know. have you thought about starting your own? Two people make a group. You could also utilize the HOME STUDY PROGRAM AND possibly get onme other person to go through the program together. Anyway, thanks for stopping by today.Hugh

  2. Went to two meetings of another 12Step program this morning, feel a little better. Also went last night. I am regaining a tiny glimpse of hope. I know my higher power will continue to help me if I just ask and keep moving, one day at a time.
One lady reached out to me, and encouraged me to return to that meeting, I think I will, I think it will help.
